It was fun to watch them through the joy and excitement of their new romance with a bit of magic added by the Christmas season. But be forewarned that there is a twist at the end that can bring a tear to the eye.

This is a story about therapist Noah Cooper (Dax Shepard), who after losing his job, returns home to discover that his loud, pushy mother (Diane Keaton) has left her husband and plans to live indefinitely with Noah and his lovely wife (Liv Tyler) — who desperately wants him to sire a child. Now, the put-upon therapist has to cope with his outrageously overbearing mom and fend off his wife … all while trying to find gainful employment.

This movie was supposed to be a romantic comedy, so my husband decided to live stream it thinking it would be a good one for me since I usually like romantic comedies. However, I was not impressed with this movie at all. As far as I was concerned, there was very little comedy in it (I may have chuckled once) and almost no romance, at least not what I would call romance.

I felt the only character worth watching was the cousin, Mike White, who moved in and was preparing for a writing convention which never seemed to happen. If I were rating this movie, I would probably have to give it 1 ½ – 2 stars.

Robert Downy Jr and Zach Galifianakis are paired up in this comedy adventurous movie. The story plot goes like this Robert Downy Jr ( Peter) is trying to home to Los Angeles to his pregnant wife and has an encounter with Zach Galifianakis ( Ethan Tremblay) at the airport. Both of them are kicked off their flight and force to drive clear cross country. Many mischief’s happens along the way. Two thumbs up for this comedy.

Genre: Drama, Action and Adventure

Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Meryl Streep, Peter Sarsgaard and Alan Arkin head an all-star ensemble cast in “Rendition,” a compelling thriller from Academy Award-winning director Gavin Hood (“Tsotsi”). Witherspoon plays Isabella El-Ibrahimi, the American wife of Egyptian-born chemical engineer Anwar El-Ibrahimi (Omar Metwally) who disappears on a flight from South Africa to Washington. Isabella desperately tries to track her husband down, while a CIA analyst (Gyllenhaal) at a secret detention facility outside the U.S. is forced to question his assignment as he becomes party to the man’s unorthodox interrogation. “Rendition” is produced by Steve Golin (“Babel”) and Marcus Viscidi (“The Last Kiss”) from a screenplay by Kelly Sane.

In My Opinion By Jason Cronkhite:
My wife and I finally had the chance to watch Rendition. It’s a rivating and timely drama with a few storylines of love and struggle. From a young engineer who struggles through torture while his wife deals with the unknown in the last strecth of her pregnancy to a young eygitian couples love and distressed relationship with the daughters father, this story has man twists and turns that keep you engaged.

Then, there is also the geopolitical stress that we are dealing with today that makes the movie so timely. The movie was a good and one I certainly recommend it. My only issue was with the ending. I was left wanting more from the story but, maybe that was planned and something else is coming?

Let me know what you think.
