2009 SA Express-News Reader’s Choice Winners – Are You Serious? – Round One

In My Opinion:
Recently, the San Antonio Express-News ran a list of their winners for readers choice in restaurants. The results were a bit perplexing, to say the least. We’re fairly certain their results do not reflect their readership (on paper or online), nor do we truly feel that it has the best tasting food in San Antonio.
We’ve put together a Round One Polls on a few of the categories detailed by the Express-News to verify our suspicions. So indulge us, please. If you select: “None of the above (I’ve had better),” please let us know which restaurant you feel should be listed here by commenting below.

You can see for yourselves that SA Express News (MySA) was wrong. We did have a tie in the BBQ category though.

Wow, what horrible choices! My picks would be Lisa’s Mexican Restaurant for fajitas, Koi Kawa for sushi and Texas Pride for BBQ. Geez Express-News needs to get out more…

BBQ: Texas Pride
Sushi: Hon Machi Sushi & Teppanyaki
Fajitas: Tomatillos
French: Not a big fan of French so I haven’t tried anywhere but Le Madeline.
Italian: Figlio’s in Bracken/Garden Ridge
