First, I love Andrew McCarthy and I did watch “Lipstick Jungle.” I even have him on my wish list on TIVO, so I was really excited when I saw him in a promo for “Royal Pains.” This is such an entertaining program that it has become one of our don’t miss shows for my husband, 21-yr-old daughter and me every week. Bringing in Charlie adds an interesting complication to the series. Way too early to have them be the perfect couple. Hank, Evan and Divya are outstanding. Best kind of “it could happen.” program.

First, I love Andrew McCarthy, but never watched “Lipstick Jungle.” This is the 2nd USA Network show he’s had a role on (3 if you count L&O:CI). As this series warps it’s first season it’s nice to have McCarthy’s character and the Boris character return. The addition of ‘Charlie’ also has really thrown a twist into the Hank-Jill relationship. It is a shocker that Jill is still married to him! My main question about this episode is whether Hank got paid for his detox help. He’s always running into Tucker, but he’s also getting fired by Tucker’s dad — a lot — so who foots the bill. The Evan-finding-a-friend sub-storyline was silly. Divya stepping up was weird. Who was more uncomfortable she or the audience? I do think, however, this will solidify their ‘friendship” and somehow Evan will help her get out of the arranged marriage. Back to getting out of trouble, should Jill use Boris’ check? What a dilemma. There’s a quiz on the USA Network site. Wonder what happens as show progresses.
