Mob courier Frank Martin and his assignment, a cynical Ukrainian woman, are fitted with shackles that will explode if they wander too far from Frank’s car. Frank Martin has been pressured into transporting Valentina, the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency for the Ukraine, from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until he ends up in Odessa on the Black Sea. Along the way, with the help of Inspector Tarconi, Frank has to contend with the people who strong armed him to take the job, agents sent by Vasilev to intercept him, and the general non-cooperation of his passenger. Despite Valentina’s cynical disposition and his resistance to get involved, Frank and Valentina fall for each other, while escaping from one life-threatening situation after another.

★ @ mcfitz, nice comment and review on the movie. Yes, at parts of the movie they stretch it so far that I couldn’t believe it. I still say out of all the “Transporter” movies, this is the least favorite for me. However in all of them I love the driving scenes! ★

As usual, there are good guys, not so good guys, and downright bad guys in this Transporter film, and we’re not really sure exactly where Frank fits in. But that doesn’t matter, because we’re on his side anyway! He’s a driver for hire and there’s no one better, as we already know if we’ve seen a previous show in this action series.
This time he has no choice, and to make matters worse, he’s rigged to blow if he gets too far from his car, adding even more incentive for great chases and driving scenes, of which there are plenty. So suspend your idea of reality for a couple of hours, stop wondering where all of those European police officers might be hiding, and enjoy the scenery — landscapes and otherwise.
The love story is a little hard to believe but we’ll stretch for that, too, as long as we’re going that direction anyway. Maybe we’re jealous of Valentina, after all; we’d like some Frank for ourselves.
